Knut Alfred

Knut has a bachelor’s degree in Social Education. He used to be a student and research fellow at Valdres Folkehøgskole. He also has experience as a substitute working in homes for youth with disabilities.

Teacher
Maja

Maja has a bachelor's degree in Outdoor Life, and has completed a practical pedagogical education. She also has experience as a social worker.

Educator
Inger

Inger Rindal has a degree in teaching with additional qualifications and has been employed as a team leader since 2009. She also has experience from other folk high schools as a boarding director, inspector and subject teacher. She has attended several courses in dialogue-based learning.

Social Worker
Ingrid

Ingrid has a bachelor’s degree in Social Work and a one year program in outdoor life. She used to be a student and research fellow at Valdres Folkehøgskole. She also has experience from Tanzania with the reintegration of children into families after living in orphanages.

Physiotherapist
Pål

Pål is a trained physiotherapist and manual therapist. The school has a separate agreement for our students with regard to treatment and training.

Our entire staff has been trained by Terje Wårheim. We always strive to do our very best for our students. Terje has worked within the specialist health services with learning environments and accessibility for children and adolescents. He has a master’s degree in child protection and welfare, and teaches counselling and user participation. During our course, we were taught social skills training, anger control training and moral reasoning training.

This will be your home.

We have comfortable and newly renovated dormitories. The rooms are soundproofed, so you can sleep well. We provide a pleasant living room and kitchen, as well as easy access to the shower, toilet and laundry room. The dormitory is located right next to the main building and the dining hall. We promise you will feel at home here!
