Here is important information that you must arrange BEFORE you come to Valdres Folkehøgskole. 

Part of traveling is preparing for your trip, what you need to fix before you get here is a valid passport and start with travel vaccinations.

Travel vaccine 

Your main trip will be in November, and the vaccines must be taken in your home municipality. Start early, and be aware that the last chance to complete a vaccination program is when you travel home for the fall break in week 41.

Here at Valdres Folkehøgskole we do not have a local vaccination service, therefore we ask you to check with your own GP or local vaccination office about travel vaccinations before you come here. We recommend that you follow the advice that your healthcare professional gives you regarding travel vaccinations.  

Check which trips you are going on with your line and tell your doctor/vaccination office about this so that you can start with the vaccines that are required for you. There is a lot of good information on the Norwegian Institute of Public Health's website as well.

Passport 

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months after the end of school (May + 6 months)

European Health Insurance Card 

You also need a European Health Insurance Card. This gives you the right to healthcare in emergency situations (accidents and the like) and to have the costs of necessary healthcare covered in EU/EEA countries.  

You can order this card at Helsenorge's online hours. You just need to order this card right away, so you have it ready when you get to school.
