- Everyone I got to know, everything I was lucky enough to be a part of, and take part in, everything I learned and everything I experienced - When I think back on the year, I imagine a big splash of color with many sparkling and beautiful vibrant colors! To create a metaphor for this, it describes EVERYTHING about that year. First, it clearly showed Valdres' fabulous nature; the green leaves of late summer and the beautiful blue lake, not to mention a practically constantly blue and cloudless sky. Then came the red, green and yellow leaves of autumn that painted the canvas in new colors. Yes, even the white winter became colorful in its own way; On the slopes we skied in beautiful sunsets with powder under our skis and ski jackets and pants in all the colors of the rainbow.
- So many fine and diverse people gathered under one roof constituted nothing more than a large bouquet of flowers, where each flower could unfold in the direction it wanted.
- From going from the concrete to the slightly more, call it abstract if it is in the right context, the wonderful splash of color also shows the diversity of activities, excursions and yes, everyday life at school itself. And then, last but not least, the most important thing, the unity, security, love and respect. So many nice and different people gathered under one roof constituted nothing more than a large bouquet of flowers, where each flower could unfold in the direction it wanted. For me, all of this together constitutes the world's finest and most colorful painting, which is both a joy to look at and which at the same time tells many fantastic stories. Which story you want to hear depends on where on the canvas you look. But common to all the stories and the impression of the entire painting is action, high energy and a lot of energy, a desire to share, a constant hunger to learn and to experience more. Boiled down to words - what a GOOD atmosphere!
- I can say without a doubt that the daily words and the daily encouragement we received from the community contributed to me taking on, big and small, at least 100 more challenges than I might otherwise have done. Encouragement and feedback are part of the foundation for developing! For me, it created security, a feeling of being seen and a desire to try. Yes, even though I had already failed for the last time, the desire to succeed was still there.
Thank you for an absolutely fantastic time! A warm hug from Kjersti Rishovd
