Join a team from several lines plus two fellows. It will be fun to get the whole school involved in the project through, among other things, global runs, kindness day, bazaars, flea markets, creative competitions. Working in a team on something so meaningful brings a lot of joy!
Educational
You will learn an incredible amount about peace and humanitarian work through our partner in Tanzania, and skilled people in YWCA-YCW Global Norway. Gain knowledge about how the world can fight poverty and injustice. Students have been offered jobs while they have been in this project. Surprisingly great!
Travel Tanzania
Visit the project in Lushoto – Tanzania. An important part is to see what the efforts that the students put in go to, in good initiatives in Lushoto. Join our local partners and meet a fantastic culture that you can experience and learn an incredible amount from. The school covers the trip in full so that the funds raised go directly to the people.

The Global Race
The Global Run is the biggest event of the year for the Lushoto Project at Valdres Folkehøgskole. The students stand up to collect sponsors and run to raise money for the project, and have raised millions of kroner to fight poverty and strengthen youth opportunities for a fairer world.
This is a big and fun event that not only gets all the students involved in the project, but also challenges them to think creatively and innovatively. They collaborate with each other to come up with new ideas for everything from fundraising to costumes, and are creative in the way they run the race.
